10 interesting Mother’s Day facts

  1. Like many traditions and festivals, Mother’s Sunday started with a religious purpose. 2. Back in those days, it was common for children from ten years of age to work and live as apprentices, maids, and domestic workers in various country estates, sometimes far from home. 3. The spread of Christianity throughout Europe in the 16th century intensified the celebrations and set Mother’s Sunday once a year on the calendar. They decided that the first day of spring, March 21st, was the best time to celebrate the ultimate givers of life.
